Mix and Match Cowl

Cynthia Spencer and Valerie Reed have once again joined forces to create a Local Yarn Store Day project. You may know them from their Pennsylvania, Maryland, Florida, Great Lakes, and Pacific Coast shawls. This year, they’ve designed a much smaller project—a mystery cowl!

As with their previous projects, this cowl will be released as a series of mystery clues. Knitters can choose to follow either Valerie’s or Cynthia’s clue, with all the options working seamlessly together.

The project uses worsted-weight yarn (5 stitches per inch) and requires one main color (approximately 120 yards) plus three contrasting colors (approximately 55 yards each). The pattern will be available for free with a coupon code to customers who purchase at least one skein of worsted-weight yarn from a Local Yarn Shop. It’s also perfect for stash-busting!

Color suggestions will be provided when the pattern is initially posted to Ravelry.
